DARIALYS - 26.04.2019 -
The Treatment continues its rise with the release of a fourth album, "Power Crazy". In line with previous albums and as its name suggests, the new production of the Cambridge natives transpires dynamism thanks to a catchy and addictive hard rock where references to bands like AC/DC and Airbourne are more than obvious.

The influence of the two Australian bands is so strong that it will trigger two antagonistic reactions in the listener. Among the fanatics of the legendary Perth combo, The Treatment is one of those bands that constitute the next generation of the hard rock scene and proudly take over after the biggest of their kind to perpetuate the style and rock'n' roll attitude. For others, it is forbidden to touch mythical groups that have been able to create a sound and identity specific to their time, otherwise they will commit a mistake of plagiarism lacking originality.

If the two points of view respect each other, and if the two music lovers whose portrayals in the description do not agree, it must be obvious that The Treatment has perfectly reproduced the codes of the genre and, although this new record has indeed invented nothing, it is clear that the British knows how to rock.

There are straightforward hard rock hymns like the single "Let's Get Dirty" which contains all the ingredients necessary to create a powerful and well-crafted hit or like "Hang Them High", a song full of catchy riffs and which would have looked great on one of AC/DC's biggest albums. It even sounds like Angus Young's solos on 'Rising Power' or 'Bite Back', while the voice of the new singer Tom Rampton is not unlike that of the late Good Scott.

The influences diversify a little on "On The Money", a track marked by the paw of ZZ Top, with its riff which, reminding a mixture between "Tush" and "Sharp Dressed Man", calms the ardour of the first tracks. 'Luck Of The Draw' also stands out with its well-brought bluesy touch. There is also an acoustic version of the song 'Bite Back' as a bonus that works very well, even without all the traditional instruments.

In love with the good old rock of the great era, "Power Crazy" will take you back in time and plunge you into the heart of the 80s with a devastating hard rock.
